My latest projects focus on applying artificial intelligence and automation to everyday business operations. Using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, n8n, Google Apps Script, and the Toast API, I've been developing practical solutions for extracting and analyzing business data, streamlining operational reporting, and improving decision-making.
I'm particularly interested in evaluating how AI performs in real business environments, including comparing results across models and platforms to understand their accuracy, reliability, and usefulness to operators.
A Little About Me
I've always believed in following your passions, even when they lead you somewhere unexpected. For me, that's been less of a philosophy and more of a way of life.
After college, I moved to Paris on my own, working as a bartender, immersing myself in a new culture, and developing a lifelong appreciation for food, wine, travel, and the people you meet along the way. That experience shaped much of what came next.
When I returned to the U.S., I opened my first business on the Las Vegas Strip. More than 25 years later, my entrepreneurial journey has taken me in many directions, from fine wine and French bistros to doughnuts, dive bars, live music venues, and neighborhood restaurants. Each concept reflected a different interest, creative idea, or opportunity I wanted to explore.
Along the way, I've learned that creating a great concept is only part of the equation. Building a successful business requires understanding the people, systems, financial decisions, and countless moving parts that make it work. That experience has also led me to consulting, helping other entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life and improve their existing operations.
More recently, my curiosity has taken me into artificial intelligence and automation. I've been exploring how AI can solve real business problems, developing tools that connect operational data, simplify reporting, improve decision-making, and eliminate repetitive work. It's a natural extension of what I've always enjoyed: finding better ways to do things and turning ideas into something useful.
Outside of business, I'm still that same curious person who moved to Paris years ago. I love exploring unfamiliar places, discovering great food and wine, listening to music, and meeting interesting people. Those experiences continue to inspire the way I think, create, and approach new opportunities.
I'm not sure where curiosity will take me next, but that's always been part of the fun.
